sure you don't miss out on anything, we have grouped the cultural traditions, festivals and events
by seasons, but if you prefer, it is easy to organise your free days using the directory of
activities.
Two patron saint day festivals, traditions from the land and the surroundings and
international events like the Cerdanyola Blues Festival, the FIT or Children's and Youth Theatre
Festival, dance shows, the biennial International Aqüeducte Photography Competition are all
possible thanks to the efforts of many people who help promote and enrich Cerdanyola every day of
the year. A dynamic and participative fabric of associations that provides the heartbeat of the
city.
- Winter festivals from 21 December to 21 March: Festivals and traditions surrounding Christmas
and Carnival. Three great parades, the Three Wise Men parade, the Carnival parade and the Three
Turns (Tres Tombs) will all make you forget about the cold as the people of Cerdanyola take to the
streets to celebrate.
- Spring festivals from 21 March to 23 June: To celebrate colours and smells. The arrival of the
good weather motivates one and all to share books, enjoy the roses, the patron saint festival in
Roser in May and the fairs on the streets. Every two years, the Aqüeducte international photography
competition brings Cerdanyola images from the most hidden places of the world.
- Summer festivals from 23 June to 23 September: The eve of Sant Joan inaugurates a season of
warm summery nights. The night of the concert at the castle, the laments of the havaneras and
burned rum (rom cremat), the nights of the dance performance and the fantasy shorts festival.
Exchange day for night until the end of September. Life during the day returns after National
Catalonia Day.
- Autumn festivals from 23 September to 21 December: During the months of autumn, a time of large
festivals and events such as the International Children's and Youth Theatre Festival and the
Cerdanyola International Blues Festival. The name of Cerdanyola is known far and wide thanks to
these events, but there are also other happenings like the Sant Martí patron saint festival that
shake up the energy of the city.
